Makardhwaj (Mak) Shrivastava, MD

Makardhwaj (Mak) Shrivastava, MD, is a Medical Oncologist and Hematologist with the Dignity Health Cancer  Center – Westgate campus in Glendale, AZ. He is triple board certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine.   

As a medical oncologist and hematologist, Dr. Mak  practices personalized medicine by formulating patient specific treatment plans that may entail use of chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, immunotherapy or a combination of these therapies.  For women with breast cancer, his goal is to help patients achieve overall breast health.

I strive to explain in simple terms  what the findings have been and how to proceed with  the management of the condition(s) for the best possible  outcome. I welcome and encourage open and ongoing  dialogue with my patients, their families, support  networks and medical team. My patients have, over the  years, continually educated me to be a better person and  physician by showing me the importance of empathy,  compassion and including them in shared decision making.
