Dr. Thawani is a radiation oncologist with Dignity Health Cancer Institute, treating numerous cancers including hepatobiliary cancer. She is board certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology, and in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Thawani has published extensively and offered several presentations in radiation and radiotherapy techniques and applications. She also participates in clinical research trials and is well-versed with conventional radiation techniques like 2D, 3D, as well as advanced techniques of Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy with RapidArc, Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), Stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy (SABR), Total skin electron therapy (TSET) and High-dose Radiation (HDR) Brachytherapy.
