Jasmine Huang, MD

Jasmine Huang, MD, is Director of Education and Program Development at Norton Thoracic Institute, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center and Co-Director of the Norton Thoracic Institute Lung Cancer Program. She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Huang specializes in general thoracic surgery, including lung transplantation, the surgical treatment of benign and malignant lung and esophageal diseases, and the surgical management of chest wall tumors.

Sincere passion and a true sense of purpose are critical ingredients to caring for the patients we treat. I become a physician to help people. My goal is to offer compassionate and appropriate care. In my experience, technical skill alone is not all it takes to be a ‘good’ surgeon. I cure when possible – listen and comfort always. I believe that my job is to help patients and their families understand their illness and guide them in selecting a treatment that is appropriate and individualized for the patient at his or her stage of life.”
